BSA Launches Gold Star 650 In India mobility outlook

Classic Legends has unveiled the BSA Gold Star 650, marking the return of one of the most iconic names in British motorcycling history to the Indian market. The Gold Star 650 boasts a powerful 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering torque of 55 Nm and 45 bhp. This modern classic is equipped with best-in-class components, including Brembo brakes with dual-channel ABS, aluminium Excel rims, and Pirelli tyres. The classic British styling is complemented by modern amenities such as digital-analogue instrumentation, a 12V socket, and a USB charging port.

The selection of the single cylinder big-bore engine has been a strategic move as well. This makes the motorcycle more compact and relatively lighter aiding stability through corners. Another interesting aspect is the that is gets Brembo brakes upfront and rear, which should potentially greatly increase the braking performance. BSA has utilised top-shelf parts for the Goldstar to further enhance its exclusive appeal. We are also told that the parts and service support will be enhanced for all Classic Legends motorcycles.

The BSA Gold Star, a name that has resonated with motorcycle enthusiasts since its debut in Britain in 1938, has now been reintroduced to India. This motorcycle has been meticulously re-engineered to meet the expectations of today's riders while preserving its heritage. After finding success in the UK, Europe, Turkey, New Zealand, and the Philippines, the Gold Star 650 is aiming to captivate Indian motorcyclists, with plans to soon enter the US, Australia, and Japan markets.

The BSA Gold Star 650 is available in six stunning colour options, including the Legacy Edition in Sheen Silver, each reflecting the bike’s classic yet contemporary appeal. Prices for the different variants range from INR 2.99 lakh for the Highland Green and Insignia Red models to INR 3.34 lakh for the Legacy Edition (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

To support the Gold Star 650’s launch, BSA is establishing a comprehensive network of dealerships and service centres across India, ensuring customers receive quick support.
