Bengaluru-based e-mobility start-up Bounce Infinity commenced production of the E1 electric scooter from its manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. The deliveries of the vehicle are likely to commence from April 18, 2022.
The company noted that the facility, with an employee strength of 200, is spread across three acres, and can make 200,000 units per year. The company is also planning to set up another unit in South India with an annual capacity of more than 500,000 scooters, the release added.
Vivekananda Hallekere, Co-Founder and CEO, Bounce Infinity, said the E1 launched in December 2021 is offered with a dual swappable battery priced at INR 68,999 ex-showroom, Delhi. However, customers can also opt for BaaS, which further reduces the cost to INR 45,099.
Customers choosing for BaaS can use the Bounce battery-swapping network for battery swaps; this would bring down the running cost of the two-wheeler by as much as 40% compared to conventional scooters, claimed the company.
