Bounce Infinity has teamed up with Clean Electric to unveil the nation's first portable liquid-cooled battery technology for electric scooters. This innovation, integrated into the Bounce Infinity E1 model, offers a remarkable combination of extended range, rapid charging, and enhanced battery longevity, setting a new benchmark for EV technology in the country.
The Bounce Infinity E1, priced competitively at INR 99,210 (ex-showroom), is now equipped with a state-of-the-art battery that promises a real-world range of over 100 kilometres, addressing one of the most significant hurdles in EV adoption - range anxiety. Furthermore, the innovative liquid-cooling system allows for a swift charging process, enabling the battery to reach 80% capacity in just 45 to 50 minutes using a 15 amp plug point, commonly found in households.
Vivekananda Hallekere, CEO & Co-Founder of Bounce Infinity, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, 'Our mission is to make EVs more accessible and convenient for everyone. The portable liquid-cooled battery technology not only enhances performance and safety but also offers the ease of charging at any standard plug point, revolutionising electric mobility in India.'
This collaboration with Clean Electric has resulted in a battery that not only pushes the boundaries in terms of range and charging speed but also sets new standards in safety and durability. The battery's 5-layer safety stack, including cell level fusing and a master-slave BMS architecture, mirrors the redundancy protocols seen in the aviation industry, ensuring unparalleled safety for users.
Akash Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of Clean Electric, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, 'Our collaboration with Bounce Infinity is a step towards redefining the global electric scooter market. By introducing this advanced battery technology, we aim to provide a long-lasting, safe, and efficient solution that caters to the unique challenges of the Indian market.'
This system ensures a uniform temperature distribution across all 140 cells in the battery pack, extending the battery life by 30-50% compared to traditional air-cooled batteries.
In a move towards sustainable transportation, the battery components are recyclable, aligning with global environmental standards without compromising on affordability. Further, the partnership plans to introduce the Long Range e1++ model, which will double the range with a secondary battery and provide compatibility with universal Type 6 Public DC charging standards later this year.
