Bosch's third annual Tech Compass Survey reveals a global sentiment favouring the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI). With 64% of respondents globally ranking AI as the most influential technology in the near future, the report highlights India's strong optimism, with 76% feeling prepared for the AI-led era. The survey spans Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States, exploring attitudes, expectations, and concerns regarding emerging technologies.

Key Highlights:

  1. Indian Enthusiasm: India showcases growing acceptance and enthusiasm for AI across diverse sectors such as sustainability, mobility, manufacturing, and daily life.
  2. Climate Change Solutions: A significant 81% of Indians believe technological progress will be crucial in combating climate change, emphasising the country’s commitment to leveraging technology for sustainable development.
  3. AI In Mobility: Enhanced safety is the top priority for Indians (51%) and global respondents (60%) when considering AI integration in mobility. Indians also expect AI to simplify parking (48%).
  4. Transparency Advocacy: A remarkable 79% of Indians support mandatory labelling of AI content, echoing a global sentiment (82%). Bosch advocates for transparent labelling to denote AI-generated content, promoting accuracy and source scrutiny.
  5. Unexpected AI Integration: The survey unveils India's unique interest in AI, from trusting AI chatbots (70%) over acquaintances to willingness for AI stand-up comedians (62%) and following AI recommendations for career paths (73%).
  6. Hopes, Concerns: While Indians anticipate positive effects from technologies like 5G (48%) and AI (46%), concerns linger around humanoid and service robots. About 56% emphasise the need for education to prepare for and implement AI responsibly.

Bosch India's President, Guruprasad Mudlapur, recognises AI's potential and reiterates the company’s commitment to responsible AI implementation for a safer experience. The survey portrays a nuanced understanding of advanced technologies, emphasising the importance of their responsible deployment.
