Bosch India has announced that it has been awarded the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Domestic Value Addition (DVA) certification by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT). This milestone shows its focus on the Make in India initiative and advancing India’s electric mobility ecosystem through robust domestic manufacturing capabilities.

The achievement reflects ambitious targets set beyond the minimum DVA requirements, achieved through collaboration, innovation, and persistence. “By setting ambitious targets beyond the minimum DVA requirements, and driven by collaboration, innovation, and persistence, we focused on achieving meaningful progress aligned with India’s growth objectives,” the company mentioned in its social media post.

The company also expressed its gratitude to ICAT, IFCI, and the Ministry of Heavy Industries for their guidance and support throughout this journey. “Their partnership was instrumental in helping us meet the rigorous standards of the certification process,” it added.

The PLI DVA certification forms part of the Indian government's National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020, which promotes the manufacturing and adoption of electric vehicles. As part of the PLI scheme for the automobile and auto component industry, this initiative offers financial incentives to accelerate advanced automotive technology manufacturing and attract investments into India’s rapidly growing automotive sector.
