BMW India has launched the second-generation BMW M2, a compact high-performance sports car, available as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model.
The BMW M2's design reflects its performance-oriented character, with features such as black exhaust tailpipes, a frameless kidney grille with horizontal bars, and flared wheel arches. Optional add-ons like an M Carbon Roof lower the vehicle's centre of gravity for improved handling. Customers can choose from various paint finishes and interior trims, including sporty M-specific upholstery and carbon-fibre elements.
Inside, the car boasts a curved display with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central display. The interior includes customisable M modes, and options like M Carbon bucket seats for an enhanced driving experience.
The new car is powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine delivering 480 hp and up to 600 Nm of torque. It achieves 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds with the eight-speed automatic transmission and 4.2 seconds with the optional six-speed manual gearbox. The M Driver's Package increases the car's electronically limited top speed from 250 km/h to 285 km/h. Adaptive M-specific suspension, high-performance brakes, and an M Sport Differential ensure an engaging and responsive drive.
In terms of safety, the M2 comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including multiple airbags, Dynamic Stability Control, and Active M Differential. It also features the latest BMW iDrive system with Operating System 8.5, which includes gesture control, voice commands, and wireless smartphone integration.
BMW’s EfficientDynamics measures, including intelligent lightweight design and Brake Energy Regeneration, contribute to the car’s fuel efficiency and performance balance.
Customers can personalise their BMW M2 with various trims and optional features. BMW India Financial Services offers flexible financing solutions, including attractive monthly installments, buy-back options, and upgrade opportunities.
Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, emphasised the M2's dynamic appeal, stating that it offers unparalleled driving pleasure through its potent powertrain, impressive driving dynamics, and bold design.
