Exclusively available with a petrol engine, this completely built-up unit (CBU) is poised to redefine personal security with a unique combination of protection, comfort, and unparalleled performance.
The vehicle offers a high level of protection against ballistic attacks and explosions, achieving a class VR9 protection rating based on the internationally recognized test criteria of Germany's VPAM (Association of Test Laboratories for Attack-Resistant Materials and Constructions).
To ensure confidentiality, BMW provides exclusive consultancy, personalized sales and service support across the country. The new BMW 7 Series Protection is serviced by certified special garages with access restricted to a select and specially trained personnel. The brand also offers special driver training programs for security vehicles.
The Protection Core, a unique protection architecture, forms the core structure of the model, creating a heavily armoured inner core that surrounds the entire passenger compartment. This protective cell, combined with specialized doors, underbody armour, and safety glass, ensures comprehensive safety for occupants.
Under the bonnet, the new BMW 7 Series Protection houses a V8 petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, incorporating a 48V mild hybrid system for optimised power delivery and efficiency. The engine produces an impressive 530 bhp and 750 Nm of torque, propelling the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 210 kmph.
The exterior of the new BMW 7 Series Protection features the signature BMW Kidney 'Iconic Glow' contour line lighting, along with innovative BMW Crystal Headlights and LED headlights for high and low beams. The car is equipped with 20-inch light-alloy wheels, a powerful braking system, and PAX tires with run-flat capability.
Inside, the BMW 7 Series Protection offers customization options for appointments and design, allowing users to adapt the interior to personal needs and desires. The innovative BMW Interaction Bar defines the cockpit design, and passengers in the second row benefit from electrically operated sun protection blinds.
Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, highlighted the brand's legacy in designing and developing armoured vehicles for over 45 years.
