At the unveiling of the BMW CE 04, BMW Motorrad India's first electric offering in the country, Markus Mueller-Zambre, Head of BMW Motorrad for the Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa region, pointed out the significant advantages the two-wheeler division of the BMW Group is reaping from its innovative products and strong market presence. The BMW Motorrad CE 04, produced in Berlin, the birthplace of the brand—has been in production since 2022.

'Our current models, the CE 04 and CE 02, have already achieved success in Europe, establishing segment leadership and validating our sustainable market entry strategy,” he said.

The BMW Motorrad CE 04 is available in several international markets including North America, Europe, and parts of Asia-Pacific. Specifically, countries like the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, and Japan are known to have access to BMW's electric two-wheelers, including the CE 04.

“We are now replicating this success as we expand into the Indian market,' he stated. Mueller-Zambre also highlighted the crucial support from the Indian government, which is essential for gaining customer acceptance in the two-wheeler industry.

Currently BMW Motorrad caters to a diverse group. “Our range of experiences spans adventure, supersport, urban mobility, and more, reflecting a broad and varied customer demographic. The primary target group for the CE 04, however, is urban mobility, focusing on city dwellers seeking efficient and innovative transportation solutions. Currently, many of our customers are traditional petrol heads, loyal to the GS series due to its production perspective. However, with continued governmental support and our commitment to sustainability, we are confident in shifting consumer preferences towards our innovative electric models,' he added.
