The Indian entity of the German high-end two wheeler maker, BMW Motorrad India on Friday launched its third product under in the 310cc category, the G310RR in two variants, at INR 2.85 lakh, ex-showroom, India for the base G 310 RR and INR 2.99 lakh for G 310 RR Style Sport.
Featuring a water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke 313-cc engine with electronic fuel injection mated to a six-speed gearbox, the bike produces 25kW at 9,700 rpm and maximum torque of 27.3 NM at 7,700 rpm. The company claims that the two-wheeler can reach 60kmph from a standstill in 2.6 seconds.
Additionally, the bike also comes with four riding modes as standard such as Track, Urban, Rain and Sport, the company noted.
It added that the new product gets Ride by Wire system along with E-Gas passes and electromotive throttle controller that allows for automatic idle speed increase.
On the design front the sports bike spots full-led headlights, large transparent visor and pure-black handlebars with controls at the front along with gold upside-down fork, aluminum swingarm, handlebars with controls while the side and the rear profile include tank-hugging seating position and a pulled-up short rear visually underline closeness to the racetrack.
It also gets a multifunctional 5” TFT display that showcases riding statistics, riding modes, maximum speed, deceleration, temperature among others.
Other notable features of the two-wheeler include Infotainment Control Switch and brake system with 2-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to name a few.
Available in Black storm metallic paintwork as the standard colour options, the bike can be secured in other pain options as well including Light White Uni, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing Red Uni.
Markus Mueller-Zambre, Head of Region Asia, China, Pacific & Africa at BMW Motorrad, noted that the company has sold over 194,000 units of its bikes even since it started sales back in 2017.
He added that during CY21, the company’s sales grew 40% on a YoY basis. In CY21 the company managed with sales of 5,191 units, a 100% jump as compared to CY20.

He added that the 500 cc segment possesses a great potential in the Indian market and that the company will focus on adding new products and markets during the current year.
