BMW India Releases All-New 5 Series Long Wheelbase mobility outlook

BMW India has introduced the eighth-generation model of all-new BMW 5 Series in Long Wheelbase to the Indian market. The introductory ex-showroom price for the BMW 530Li M Sport is INR 72,90,000. Powering the all-new BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 254 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. This engine, coupled with a 48V electrical motor, allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 250 kmph. The 8-speed Steptronic transmission ensures smooth gear shifts, while the comfort suspension offers a luxurious ride with minimal body roll.

The BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase stands out with its best-in-class dimensions: 5,165 mm in length, 2,156 mm in width, 1,518 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. The exterior features an illuminated kidney grille, a sleek 2.5 box design, and trims embellished in Titanium Bronze and Aluminium. A panoramic glass roof enhances the vehicle's dynamic look. Inside, the luxurious ambience is accentuated by a revolutionary cockpit design, comfort seats, a vegan interior, and a Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System.

The BMW Curved Display and BMW Interaction Bar with touch functions and light effects redefine the cockpit experience. The BMW Operating System 8.5, combined with the My Modes feature, allows for a customisable driving experience. Other advanced features include the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, Digital Key Plus, and a range of digital services accessible via the MyBMW app.

The interior features four-zone air conditioning, active seat ventilation, and personalised headrest cushions for the first 500 customers. The BMW Curved Display consists of a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display, merging into a single, high-resolution digital unit. The BMW Interaction Bar, extending across the dashboard, integrates ambient light, AC controls, and air vents into an aesthetic experience.

Safety and convenience features include Cruise Control, Attentiveness Assistant, Parking Assistant Professional, Comfort Access, Remote Parking, Lane Change Warning, and Active Pedestrian Protection. The car's Connected Drive system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an interior camera, and wireless mobile charging trays. For the first time, the 5 Series features a fully vegan interior upholstery, with dual-tone combinations.

This eighth-generation 5-Series Long Wheelbase is available for booking at BMW dealerships across the country and on the company website, with deliveries starting in September 2024.
