As it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 'M' brand, BMW India on Thursday launched the X7 40i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition at INR 12,050,000, ex-showroom, India.
Powered by the 3.0L six-cylinder petrol engine mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission, the SUV produces 340 hp and maximum torque of 450 Nm.
At the front, the SUV features a high gloss black grille with the 'M' celebratory BMW badge. The badge also makes its way to the 21-inch jet black alloys and the vehicle's rear.
Additionally, the interior of the vehicle gets updated with M seat belts, M leather steering wheel, seat heating with lumbar support, electrical seat adjustment with memory function, and automatic anti-dazzle function in all mirrors, among others.
Meanwhile, with the optional M accessories package, customers can add an M performance steering wheel in an alcantara option, mirror caps, and key fob in alcantara, among others.
Other notable lookouts on the interior include a 12.3-inch digital instrument display along with a 12.3-inch control display with BMW OS 7 and wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, 10.2-inch full-HD rear passenger displays with navigation and 16 speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system.
On the safety front, the X7 40i Jahre M Edition gets a surround-view camera, six airbags, attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control (DSC) including cornering brake control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.
