BMW Group India has announced the launch of Retail.NEXT dealerships, a new initiative aimed at redefining luxury automotive retail in India. Designed to offer modern services and facilities tailored to today’s customer expectations, Retail.NEXT will be rolled out across 56 facilities in 33 cities over the next 36 months.

Retail.NEXT dealerships will focus on blending digital tools with personalised service. Features include open spaces with minimalist design, allowing for an intuitive flow through the showroom. High-tech digital interfaces will be integrated throughout the facility, enabling customers to explore vehicle features, customise preferences, and receive tailored recommendations. The layout also incorporates areas for private consultations and vehicle handovers to ensure a personalized experience.

A key aspect of the design is the ‘Central Customer Walkway,’ which places both visitors and vehicles at the center of attention. The dealerships will present all BMW, MINI, BMW Motorrad, sales and service offerings, new and pre-owned cars on one consistent floor. A single entry for sales and service will simplify navigation for visitors.

The dealerships will replace traditional reception counters with a ‘Welcome Stand,’ reducing physical barriers between visitors and staff. Additionally, a Multifunction Counter will serve various roles, including parts and accessories sales or as a cashier desk for car transactions. The showroom will also feature a ‘BMW Bar & Lounge’ for hospitality, as well as integrated sections for parts, accessories, and lifestyle products. A fully accessorized highlight car will provide a focal point, creating a ‘Wow-Effect’ for visitors.

Customer consultations can occur at various stages throughout the showroom, tailored to the client's preferences. Sales and Service Consultancy Lounges will offer private areas for discussions on financing, leasing, aftersales service, and other matters. The dealerships will also feature a Multifunctional Handover Bay for new and pre-owned car deliveries and as a starting point for test drives.

Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) users will benefit from the inclusion of AC/DC fast-charging facilities. The showroom will display an extensive range of BMW M, BMW i, BMW Motorrad, MINI, and BMW Premium Selection (BPS) vehicles.

BMW Group India has launched its first Retail.NEXT showroom with Bird Automotive in Gurugram, Haryana. The facility, spread over 8,690 square feet, showcases BMW cars on the ground floor and MINI vehicles on the first floor. It includes a dedicated vehicle handover lounge to ensure a memorable delivery experience and a lifestyle and accessories zone displaying the latest merchandise. Gaurav Bhatia, Dealer Principal of Bird Automotive, expressed pride in the partnership, emphasizing their goal to 'redefine the luxury car buying experience' in the region.

Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, described the new dealerships as spaces where 'modernity, progress, and true luxury converge seamlessly.' Retail.NEXT aims to revolutionise customer engagement by integrating ‘phygital’ innovations that merge physical and digital experiences in a forward-thinking environment.
