As part of its celebration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH, the Indian arm of the German luxury car maker BMW India has launched the 6-series ‘50 Jahre M Edition’ at INR 72.9 lakh ex-showroom, India. Available in the 630i M Sport, the special edition vehicle is said to be manufactured at the company’s Chennai facility.
Powered by the 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 258hp and 400Nm of torque, the updates to the vehicle include new paintwork options including Tanzanite Blue Metallic, M Carbon Black, Bernina Grey Amber Effect and Mineral White, along with new Laserlight, that distributes light up to 650 meters. Additionally, the car will also feature the M Emblem inspired by the classic ‘BMW Motorsport’ logo, the company said.
Moreover, customers can also opt for an optional M accessories package that includes a kidney grille in high gloss black, a key fob in carbon fibre and Alcantara, along with 19-inch 647 M Light alloy wheels in Jet black.
While on the inside, it features electrically adjustable with memory function driver and passenger seats along with natural leather Dakota with M Seatbelts. At the rear, the bench has an electrically adjustable backrest angle and electrically adjustable roller sun blinds.
Earlier, the company announced that it plans to launch ten distinct ‘50 Jahre M Editions’ starting with the locally produced M340i, which was launched at INR 68.90 lakh, ex-showroom, India, along with M4 and M5 super sedans.
