More than 1,000 units of BMW Motorrad India’s latest offering in the sub-500 cc class – the newly launched BMW G 310 RR – have been delivered to customers since launch on 15 July this year. The OEM noted that an additional 2,200 bookings have been collected during the festive season.
As the third member of the BMW G 310 family, the G 310 RR has achieved a stunning level of success in its segment, noted Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India.
The BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 GS, and the BMW G 310 RR have been developed in Munich, Germany, by BMW Motorrad and are locally assembled by the cooperation partner TVS Motor Company in Hosur.
Featuring a water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke 313cc engine with electronic fuel injection mated to a six-speed gearbox, the bike produces 25kW at 9,700 rpm and maximum torque of 27.3 NM at 7,700 rpm. The company claims the two-wheeler can reach 60kmph from a standstill in 2.6 seconds.
