BMW Motorrad India has introduced the all-new BMW CE 02, an electric two-wheeler designed for city and urban mobility. Available at a starting ex-showroom price of INR 4,49,900 (ex-showroom) is BMW's foray into electric mobility in India, with a focus on style, performance, and eco-friendly commuting.
The BMW CE 02 is developed by BMW Motorrad in Munich and produced in collaboration with TVS Motor Company in Hosur, India. Weighing 142 kg, the CE 02 boasts a maximum power output of 14.7 bhp and 55 Nm of torque, enabling an acceleration from 0 to 50 kmph in just 3 seconds. Its top speed reaches 95 kmph, and it offers a range of 108 km, making it ideal for daily urban commuting.
The model is equipped with a 3.9 kWh air-cooled lithium-ion battery, which can be charged using a 0.9 kW external charger. For faster charging, the optional HIGHLINE package includes a 1.5 kW quick charger, allowing the battery to reach 20% to 80% charge in just 102 minutes.
BMW India President and CEO, Vikram Pawah, highlighted its appeal to those who value style and environmental consciousness. The bike’s design, described as youthful and minimalist, features a blend of matte and high-gloss surfaces, with Cosmic Black and granite grey metallic accents. Optional features like the HIGHLINE package further enhance its extroverted design with gold anodised forks and additional colour contrasts.
The CE 02 includes advanced features like LED lights, a 3.5-inch micro TFT display, and multiple riding modes including 'Flow' for city cruising and 'Surf' for a more dynamic experience. The optional 'Flash' mode, available with the HIGHLINE package, offers an even sportier ride. The bike also comes with BMW Motorrad's Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for additional safety, alongside stability controls to ensure a smooth and secure ride.
The model is available at BMW Motorrad dealerships across major cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
