Blue Energy Motors has received an order from the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) for 50 additional LNG-powered trucks, reinforcing its position in India’s green freight movement. This latest order follows the successful deployment of over 125 LNG trucks for CONCOR, bringing the company’s total fleet to more than 175. The new trucks are set to be delivered by the end of March 2025.
The expansion comes as part of a broader effort to decarbonise India’s freight and logistics sector. LNG-powered trucks offer a significant reduction in carbon emissions—up to 40 per cent compared to conventional diesel trucks—without compromising performance or efficiency.
Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO, Blue Energy Motors, stated that the continued partnership with CONCOR highlights the growing importance of LNG trucking in sustainable logistics. He reiterated the company’s commitment to delivering innovative and reliable solutions that align with India’s net-zero ambitions.
Infrastructure limitations, including the availability of LNG refuelling stations, continue to be a hurdle in scaling operations nationwide. However, Blue Energy Motors’ growing presence in the sector signals increasing confidence in LNG as a viable alternative to diesel for long-haul freight.
