Blue Energy Motors, a company involved in clean-energy commercial vehicles, has achieved a milestone by saving 10,000 tonne of CO2 emissions through its deployment of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered green trucks.

This achievement aligns with India’s ambitious Net Zero carbon emissions goal for 2070, addressing the disproportionate impact of commercial vehicles on the nation’s carbon footprint. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, while commercial vehicles make up just 4% of the total fleet, they contribute nearly 40% of CO2 emissions, underscoring the urgent need for sustainable alternatives like LNG-powered vehicles.

Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, said, 'Achieving the milestone of saving 10,000 tonne of CO2 emissions is a testament to our unwavering commitment to driving sustainable change in the trucking industry. At Blue Energy Motors, we are not just transforming logistics with our alternate fuel trucks; we are setting a benchmark for green innovation and demonstrating the potential of clean energy solutions. This achievement reinforces our vision of a cleaner, greener future, and we remain dedicated to leading the way in sustainable mobility for India and beyond.”

LNG-powered trucks, designed specifically for long-haul operations, provide a cleaner alternative to diesel vehicles, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 30% while significantly cutting particulate matter and nitrogen oxides. These vehicles are already facilitating a shift toward cleaner logistics, helping fleet operators reduce both emissions and operational costs.

Blue Energy Motors is also advancing its focus on sustainability by exploring electric vehicle (EV) technologies for commercial applications. This dual focus on LNG and EV solutions positions the company at the forefront of India’s green transportation revolution, tackling immediate decarbonisation needs while paving the way for zero-emission future technologies.

India’s logistics sector, projected to grow to $380 billion by the end of the year, demands the rapid adoption of sustainable solutions. LNG trucks offer immediate environmental benefits, while EV advancements promise to redefine long-term commercial transportation strategies.
