BLive EZY has launched a fleet of 1,000 electric vehicles (EVs) to support India’s quick commerce sector aiming to meet the sharp increase in demand during the festive season. With the rise of platforms like Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, and Zepto, and new players such as Nykaa and Reliance entering the market, the quick commerce sector in India is expected to reach $5.5 billion by 2025.

Samarth Kholkar, CEO and co-founder of BLive, stated that the EV fleet is designed to support both rapid delivery and sustainability. The deployment highlights how EVs can meet the demands of quick commerce, particularly during peak times when consumers expect delivery within 10-15 minutes.

An AI-powered route optimisation system allows for real-time adjustments based on traffic, weather, and other constraints, shortening delivery times by 15-20% and helping businesses maintain competitive service standards.

The EVs are specifically designed for the unique requirements of quick commerce deliveries, which are dominated by grocery orders that account for 50-60% of all orders in the sector. Each vehicle in the fleet offers an extended battery range, allowing delivery riders to cover more ground on a single charge, thus reducing downtime. The vehicles also include optimised storage capacity, enabling them to handle high-demand grocery and package deliveries with fewer interruptions.

BLive EZY’s tech platform places a strong emphasis on rider experience, streamlining on boarding and offering support during high-demand periods, which allows riders to maximise their earnings. The rider-centric approach ensures that drivers have access to resources that facilitate their work, particularly during the high-stakes festive season.
