Billion Electric Mobility (BillionE) has announced the appointment of Pirojshaw Sarkari (Phil) as the Lead of its Advisory Council. With over three decades of experience in logistics and supply chain management, Sarkari is tasked with developing a network of EV charging stations along highways to facilitate the seamless operation of electric trucks and buses. His appointment marks a critical step in BillionE’s efforts to accelerate the adoption of commercial electric vehicles in India.

Sarkari’s career includes establishing logistics giants Aramex and UPS in India and serving as the CEO of Mahindra Logistics for nearly a decade. A Chartered Accountant by profession, he has also been an active angel investor, contributing to emerging businesses through Inflection Point Ventures. His expertise in scaling transportation networks and operational excellence is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding Billion Electric’s EV infrastructure ecosystem.

In his new role, Sarkari will focus on developing reliable and accessible highway charging solutions tailored for long-haul electric trucks and buses. He emphasised the importance of this infrastructure for the success of commercial EVs, stating, “The future of logistics is electric, but this transition requires a strong charging infrastructure. Billion Electric is addressing this critical need by focusing on highway solutions that enable long-distance transportation. I look forward to leveraging my experience to ensure that India’s commercial EV sector has the support it needs to thrive.”
