Bentley Prepares The New Continental GT mobility outlook

Bentley Motors is set to unveil the new, fourth-generation Continental GT this June, marking a milestone in the iconic model's 20-year history. The new Continental GT boasts an impressive 771 bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque, thanks to its advanced V8 engine paired with an electric motor. This combination not only delivers exceptional performance but also offers an electric-only range of 80 km and a WLTP CO2 figure of under 50 g/km.

Complementing this powertrain is the latest generation of chassis technology, which includes active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, an electronic Limited Slip Differential, 48V electric active anti-roll control, and advanced dual-valve dampers. These features collectively enhance the car’s handling, stability, and overall driving dynamics.

The Continental GT has been pivotal in Bentley's resurgence since its debut in 2002. Drawing design inspiration from the 1952 R Type Continental, the car has always embodied the essence of a luxury Grand Tourer. Its introduction catalysed a ten-fold increase in Bentley's sales, transforming the brand and setting a new standard in the luxury automotive market.

The second generation, launched in 2010, introduced new powertrains and technologies, including a 4.0 litre V8 option in 2012. The third generation, unveiled in 2018, brought significant advancements with a new platform, engine, suspension, electrical architecture, and design, further solidifying the Continental GT’s status in the competitive luxury GT segment.

It remains Bentley’s second most popular model, accounting for one in every three Bentleys sold. Early next year, Bentley will celebrate the production of the 100,000th Continental GT, handcrafted at the company's Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
