Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the highly awaited Pulsar NS400 on 3 May. The NS400 will be the most powerful Pulsar to go on sale. While the launch of the bike was supposed to take place in the month of April, the date was pushed forward due to internal delays at Bajaj Auto.
Since the bike will be called the NS400, we expect to see a muscular-looking Pulsar, similar to the NS200 that’s currently on sale. It could feature an aggressively styled headlight cowl, beefy fuel tank and a sleek tail section.
Under the bodywork, expect to see a sporty chassis with an USD fork and a monoshock. The bike should be fitted with 17-inch wheels, shod with sticky tyres to enable it to handle corners very well. The Pulsar NS200’s handling is one of its strong points and we can expect to see the same with the NS400.
Bajaj is also likely to spec the NS400 with a comprehensive set of features such as all-LED lights, digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, and dual-channel ABS. The NS400 may also get ABS modes and traction control like the Pulsar N250.
As for the engine specifications, it is still unknown whether the NS400 will get the Dominar 400’s engine or the new KTM 390 Duke’s 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. If it is the latter, expect the engine’s tuning to be revised for the NS400.
Bajaj is expected to price the Pulsar NS400 quite competitively and it should be positioned around the Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom mark.
