Dublin-based global aircraft lessor, Avolon has completed deliveries of 15 A320neo family jetliners to IndiGo.
This sale and leaseback transaction comprises six A320neo aircraft and nine A321neos. Avalon started deliveries in September 2022.
Paul Geaney, President and Chief Commercial Officer, said Avolon looked forward to playing a central role with IndiGo.
Riyaz Peermohamed, Chief Aircraft Acquisition and Financing Officer, IndiGo, added that the deal was part of IndiGo’s broader expansion plans and fleet upgrades.
“In 2023, we are committed to enhancing connectivity both within India and internationally,” he said. IndiGo’s fleet now has over 300 aircraft and the airline is operating almost 1800 daily flights.
