German luxury manufacturer Audi India on Tuesday launched the Q5 SUV at a starting price of INR 58.93 lakh.
Manufactured at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India (SAVWIPL) plant in Aurangabad, the Audi Q5 has been launched in two variants – premium plus and technology. The SUV is powered by a 2 litre TFSI engine that produces 249 hp of power and 370 Nm torque.

At the launch, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India said the Q5 is its 9th product, and has been amongst Audi’s bestsellers in India. “We are confident that this new model is going to be no different. With more enhancements, the Audi Q5 offers a perfect amalgamation of luxury, sportiness, comfort and everyday use,” he said.
Dhillon further added 2021 has been a great year for Audi India, with sales growing by over a 100% in the first 10 months. The launch of the new Audi Q5 will only take this growth further, said a confident Dhillon, adding the company is gearing to end this year on a high note and are preparing to launch several new models by 2022.
In his presentation, Dhillon also highlighted that the carmaker has surpassed the industry growth rate of 49% in the first 10 months of the ongoing year. Audi India is bullish about its Q range of products, as it brings 45% sales volume to the company.
Meanwhile, in terms of the features, the new Audi Q5 comes with Audi park assist, comfort key with sensors to control boot lid operations, Audi virtual cockpit plus and 19 speakers.
