Audi concluded the year 2023 with a stellar performance, delivering approximately 1.9 million vehicles. Notably, the company reported an outstanding YoY growth of 93% in the nine-month period ending December 31, 2023. The robust sales performance positions Audi well for a transformative year in 2024, marked by a clear focus on electric mobility.
One of the key contributors to this success was the delivery of over 178,000 fully electric vehicles, reflecting a substantial 51% increase compared to 2022.
“Audi is a strong brand with a clear focus on an electric future,” stated Gernot Döllner. He acknowledged the high demand for Audi models as a solid starting point for the New Year while acknowledging the anticipated challenges due to increased competition and global economic uncertainties. Döllner emphasised the importance of following a clear plan that prioritises vehicle profitability.
In 2023, Audi witnessed growth in deliveries across all world regions, outpacing the overall market. The significant demand for fully electric models validated the company’s consistent electrification strategy.
Hildegard Wortmann, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing at Audi, expressed gratitude to the international team and dealership partners for their impressive performance, contributing to a delivery increase of over 17% in 2023. Wortmann highlighted strong growth in core markets such as Europe, the USA, and China, with a simultaneous acceleration in electrification efforts.
The company's order book at the end of Q3 FY24 remained robust, exhibiting a YoY growth of 92%. Audi's certified pre-owned business also thrived, witnessing a substantial 74% YoY growth in the year-to-date period, reflecting the growing demand and strong brand equity in the Indian market. The successful year was marked by notable achievements in key markets, including the USA, China, Germany, and various other regions where Audi experienced significant growth.
Audi is poised for further advancements in 2024 with the world premiere of the Audi Q6 e-tron at the end of the first quarter, reinforcing its commitment to innovative electric mobility solutions and a sustainable future.
