Automotive Test Systems (ATS) and TUV Rheinland will set up an automotive technology centre and proving ground at the Telangana Mobility Valley.
An SPV is being set up for this project which will also be supported by strategic investors. It is estimated that the investment will be upwards of INR 220 crore.
The technical centre will be set up on 125 acres and focus on current and emerging technologies like EV, CAV, hydrogen/fuel cells etc. Various test tracks to evaluate vehicle dynamics and ADAS features and laboratories for battery testing, cells, vehicle components, electric motors and e-axles will also be set up in phases.
An MOU was signed in Hyderabad with ATS -- represented by Ramanathan Srinivasan, Managing Director, and Mathias Schubert, Executive Vice President-Mobility -- along with Rajendra Bandal, Regional Field Manager, Mobility India Middle East and Africa, Vice President, TUV Rheinland India.
The Telangana Government was represented by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Industrial Promotion.
