Ather Energy’s CEO, Tarun Mehta has announced that the new Rizta electric scooter will debut on 6 April. The announcement was made on social media platforms
The unveiling of the Ather Rizta will take place during the Ather Community Day in Bengaluru, an annual event which brings together Ather owners and gives them a chance to interact with people in the company, including the CEO.
The Rizta electric scooter has been spotted testing multiple times in recent months and the company is highlighting the scooter's space as one of its biggest USPs. Ather recently showed the scooter's long and wide seat and compared it with its rivals.
Since this will be Ather’s first family-oriented scooter, the Rizta’s design language is expected to be notably different from the current 450 lineup. It is expected to have conservative styling with a horizontal LED headlight on the front apron, flat side panels sans cuts and creases, and a rounded tail-section.
The motor and battery details aren’t known as of now but we expect the scooter to offer a good balance between power and usable battery range.
We expect Ather to price the Rizta electric scooter around Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go up against the TVS iQube S and the Ola S1 series in the EV segment.
