Ather Energy has begun deliveries of the Rizta electric scooter in India. Tarun Mehta, the CEO of Ather Energy put up a post on social media platforms, announcing the same. Ather has begun deliveries in a phased manner. At present, the Rizta is being delivered in Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Nagpur and Andhra Pradesh. The company will start deliveries in other cities soon.
The Rizta is the Ather’s first family electric scooter and it is based on the Ather 450X. The Rizta is available in two variants- S and Z.
Ather have gone the distance with designing and developing an EV that’ll suit the needs of someone looking for a city runabout. Its design is more conventional than outright sporty like its 450-series cousins. It has a voluminous boot, the seat is quite long and it has usable features like navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Rizta has two battery sizes, depending on the variant. The S is the base variant and has a 2.9kWh battery. The Z, on the other hand, can be had with a 2.9kWh battery and a 3.7kWh battery which offers a true range of 125km.
Prices of the Ather Rizta begin at Rs 1.12 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
