Ather Energy is poised to make its entry into the Sri Lankan market, marking its second international expansion following its venture into Nepal in 2023. Evolution Auto Pvt Ltd has been designated as the national distributor for Ather Energy in Sri Lanka, tasked with managing the sale and service operations of Ather's electric scooters. As part of its strategy to support electric vehicle adoption in Sri Lanka, Ather Energy will also focus on establishing a network of fast-charging infrastructure across the country aiming to make the transition to electric vehicles more convenient for users.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, stated 'Sri Lanka has always been a part of our global expansion plans after Nepal. The increasing cost of petrol vehicles, along with the economic and environmental benefits of electric vehicles, has driven a growing preference for EVs in Sri Lanka. Ather’s electric scooters, known for their performance, design, and reliability, will appeal to the new-age Sri Lankan customers who value quality and modern products.'
