Ather Energy Limited has introduced the 2025 Ather 450 upgrading its EV two-wheeler line-up. The updated models including the 450X and 450 Apex feature enhanced safety and performance systems such as Multi-Mode Traction Control and MagicTwist technology. With pricing starting at INR 1,29,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), Ather is targeting urban and adventurous riders with a blend of innovation and affordability.
The new Multi-Mode Traction Control system enhances rider safety by preventing wheel slippage on low-friction surfaces. Riders can select from Rain, Road, and Rally Modes, each designed for specific road conditions. Rain Mode prioritises grip on wet surfaces, Road Mode balances safety and performance for daily commutes, while Rally Mode offers controlled slip for off-road riding. These updates elevate safety while unlocking performance potential.
MagicTwist technology now available on the 450X enables riders to modulate deceleration by twisting the throttle, eliminating the need for conventional braking. This advanced regenerative braking system can bring the scooter to a complete halt, even at full battery charge.
The 2025 Ather 450 lineup has also seen improvements in range. These gains are attributed to energy optimisation and the introduction of multi-compound tyres developed with MRF.
Powered by AtherStack 6, the 2025 Ather 450 models include features such as Google Maps, WhatsApp notifications, and Alexa integration. Riders can also use 'Ping My Scooter' to locate their vehicle and share live locations with preset contacts. Additionally, all 2025 models are covered under the Eight70 warranty, offering 8 years or 80,000 km coverage and 70% battery health assurance.
The 450S starts at INR 1,29,999, the 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery is priced at INR 1,46,999, and the 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery is available at INR 1,56,999. The premium 450 Apex is priced at INR 1,99,999, inclusive of the Pro Pack (all prices ex-showroom). Ather is also offering benefits like faster charging with the Ather Duo and a bundled smart helmet with the 450 Apex.
