Ashok Leyland Secures Record Order For 2,104 Buses From MSRTC mobility outlook

Ashok Leyland has secured it’s largest-ever order for fully built buses from the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), with a contract for 2,104 Viking passenger buses. MSRTC has one of the largest state transport undertakings in India operating a fleet of over 15,000 buses. With this new order, Ashok Leyland buses will become a predominant part of the corporation's fleet.

These state-of-the-art buses will comply with the latest Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) standards and feature AIS 153 compliant bodies. They will be equipped with the advanced iGEN6 BS VI OBD II technology, powered by 197 HP H-Series engines, and include rear air suspension for enhanced comfort. The buses will be manufactured at Ashok Leyland’s dedicated bus body plants, which utilise cutting-edge technology to ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort.
