Ashok Leyland Launches Seven Cubic Metre ICV Tipper ecomet STAR 1415

The company claims that the ecomet is India’s first seven cubic meter ICV tipper, suitable for multiple applications including sand, blue metal, bricks, construction material and road construction.

Hinduja flagship Ashok Leyland on Wednesday launched the seven cubic meter Tipper - ecomet STAR 1415, the first to offer this capacity in the Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) segment. 

A press release from the company said that the new ecomet tipper supplements Ashok Leyland’s ICV tipper range with earlier launched ecomet STAR 1015 tipper having five cubic metres and 1215 tipper with six cubic metres holding capacity. 

With 14 tonne GVW, the new ecomet STAR 1415 tipper comes with twin tipping ram for heavy-duty operations. Powered by iGen6 technology 150 HP H4 engine delivering 450 Nm torque & 6-speed heavy-duty DD gearbox, the tipper claims to carry 10-15% more load per trip, enhancing customer revenue significantly. 

The tipper supports multiple applications such as transportation of sand, blue metal, bricks, construction material and road construction, among others.  

In addition, the tipper is supported with a heavy-duty axle, suspension & frame and full metal cabin. It has longer service intervals lower maintenance costs resulting in enhanced customer profitability, the company said. 

The tipper comes with 9R20 x16 tyres (with optional nylon tyre) and a four-year / 4000-hour warranty.
