Hinduja group company and leading commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland has launched AVTR 4825 10x2 Tipper with NRS suspension and Tandem dummy axle.
The new truck is fitted with a 29cum box body; it is also available in varied body capacities, suitable to carry coal, aggregates for infrastructure and road construction, over longer distances and rough terrains.
The company claimed that the tipper is built on its AVTR modular truck platform and powered by a 250hp A4 Series engine delivering 900Nm flat torque for better fluid efficiency. The engine features i-Gen6 technology with Mid-NOx strategy, ensuring a significant reduction in DEF consumption, leading to lower cost of operation and superior profitability, it added.
Furthermore, it is fitted with a heavy-duty 9-speed gearbox with a cable gear shift, air-assisted clutch pedal and integrated ABC pedal.
On the chassis front, it has a 12.5T dual tyre lift axle (DTLA) with patented parallelogram technology and a heavy-duty rear axle with a tandem dummy in the back. In addition, the vehicle comes with a new generation air brakes with ABS and ASA, an anti-roll bar in the front, and a four-stage hydraulic FE tipping.
The interior features a crash-code compliant sleeper cabin (with optional air-conditioning) and with full metal front jacket. Furthermore, it comes with digital solutions like i-Alert (advanced telematics) & remote diagnostics – supported by a 24×7 customer assistance uptime solution centre.
Sanjeev Kumar, Head MHCV, Ashok Leyland, said that with the boom of infrastructural developments in India, there is a surge in demand for the transportation of construction and mining materials across industries. To support the demand, the company, after launching 4825 in 10x4, has now introduced a 10x2 tipper for surface application for better turn-around time and fluid efficiency.
