Ashok Leyland Expands LCV Network In Eastern India mobility outlook

Ashok Leyland inaugurated a new Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealership in Siliguri, West Bengal. This marks the fifth LCV dealership in West Bengal and aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance its presence in Eastern India. The dealership operated by Happie Trucking features a sales facility on Eastern Bypass Road, Siliguri, and a dedicated service and spares workshop in New Jalpaiguri.

The newly established facilities are equipped with advanced tools, quick service bays, and modern infrastructure to provide a superior customer experience. This expansion is expected to leverage the region's growing infrastructure projects and increasing demand for commercial vehicles. The LCV range showcased includes popular models like the BADA DOST, DOST, PARTNER, and MiTR, which cater to diverse market needs.

The BADA DOST, the first vehicle developed on a new LCV platform, features an 80 HP BS6 engine offering best-in-class power, payload capacity, and ground clearance. It targets inter- and intra-city applications, with multiple variants available to meet varying customer requirements. The DOST series includes the LiTE, STRONG, and DOST+ models, while the PARTNER load carrier and MiTR bus provide solutions for heavy payload and school transport needs, respectively.

Viplav Shah, Head of Ashok Leyland’s LCV business, noted that 70% of Ashok Leyland’s customers continue to use dealer workshops even beyond the warranty period, underscoring the company’s strong customer retention.
