Hinduja flagship Ashok Leyland today announced a slew of initiatives to build a green mobility future.
In a press release, the company said that it has planned for several products starting with CNG and LNG to enhance its presence in the alternate fuel space.
The company has also put in place a strong and capable team to focus exclusively on alternate fuel technology that uses low carbon. To facilitate this endeavour, the company has dedicated its existing testing facility in Hosur to focus on alternate fuels exclusively.
Powertrains today are predominantly driven by IC engines – gasoline & diesel. Over the next decade, alternative powertrains comprising battery electric and fuel cell electric will emerge, and Ashok Leyland has dedicated teams focusing on developing these future power trains.
