Aprilia introduced the Tuono 457 at 2024 EICMA show in Milan crafted to bring the Tuono series to a new generation of riders. Built on the same 457cc twin-cylinder platform as the RS 457, the Tuono 457 is designed as a naked sports bike offering ease of handling and power-to-weight ratio for an accessible yet exhilarating riding experience.

The Tuono 457’s styling is both modern and purposeful with Aprilia’s signature triple LED headlight arrangement and an aggressive, stripped-back aesthetic unique to the Tuono line. The design balances form and function, with ergonomic features tailored for dynamic riding, such as wide handlebars and a compact, lightweight bodywork that prioritises rider control and comfort. The bike’s twin-cylinder engine is prominently displayed accentuating its mechanical appeal while its 159 kg dry weight ensures agile handling, making it suitable for both daily commutes and spirited weekend rides.

Powering the Aprilia Tuono 457 is a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin 457cc engine that delivers 47.6 bhp at 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. The engine with its advanced construction and optimised internal components provides a responsive ride while maintaining a compact profile that enhances the bike’s weight distribution. With a focus on optimising the ride experience, the Tuono 457 is equipped with Ride-by-Wire technology, three riding modes (Eco, Sport and Rain), and adjustable traction control, ensuring safe and adaptable performance in various conditions.

The Tuono 457’s frame is constructed from aluminium which contributes to its lightness and rigidity. Aprilia’s engineering has refined the frame for stability, especially during high-speed cornering, making the bike feel precise and engaging. The suspension system consisting of a 41mm adjustable fork with 120mm travel and a rear monoshock with 130mm travel further supports the bike’s versatility across different riding environments.

Braking is handled by ByBre calipers with 320mm dual front discs and a 220mm rear disc equipped with a Bosch two-channel ABS system with options to limit intervention to the front wheel only. This setup provides riders with responsive braking performance suitable for both urban traffic and open-road riding. The Tuono 457 rides on 17-inch rims with Pirelli tyres, designed to support its nimble handling.

Equipped with a 5-inch TFT display and intuitive handlebar controls, the Tuono 457 incorporates Aprilia’s MIA multimedia system, which connects to smartphones for managing navigation, calls, and music.
