In a bid to innovate in India's Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sector, NI Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. (NASDAQ: NATI), an automated military and commercial test and measurement system provider, is partnering with Ansys Software Private Limited.
This collaboration, solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding signed at the Microwave, Antennas, and Propagation Conference (MAPCON 2023), aims to streamline collaboration and expedite innovation in A&D labs across India.
Ansys, known for its simulation tools widely used in A&D labs, and NI, a provider of testing and measurement solutions, are key players in supporting various labs associated with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) serves as a joint proposition to both current and prospective customers, offering a seamless integration of Ansys and NI solutions.
The collaboration is strategically designed to enhance the synergy between Ansys' simulation solutions and NI's testing and measurement offerings. Currently employed in A&D labs, Ansys simulation tools like HFSS, STK, and SCADE are complemented by NI's solutions, providing validation and verification for the outcomes generated. This partnership ensures that A&D labs receive comprehensive support throughout their projects.
Rafiq Somani, Area Vice President – India and South Asia Pacific, Ansys, emphasises the critical role of Ansys simulation solutions in achieving reductions in product life cycle time and costs demanded by the A&D industry.
