Anant Mukesh Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), and Murray Auchincloss, CEO of bp, inaugurated Jio-bp’s 500th EV charging station at the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. This marks the installation of Jio-bp's 5,000th EV charging point across India, further solidifying the joint venture's position as a key player in the nation's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
Jio-bp has expanded its EV charging network, growing from 1,300 charging points to 5,000 within a year. Notably, 95% of the network comprises fast-charging stations, making it the largest provider of fast-charging facilities in the country. The network also boasts a high reliability rate, with an industry-leading uptime of 96%, ensuring a seamless and efficient charging experience for EV users.
The 500th charging station, situated at Jio World Centre, will cater to visitors at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Jio World Plaza, and Jio World Convention Centre. Jio-bp’s extensive network includes top-rated 480 KW chargers, deployed at strategic locations like malls, corporate parks, and hotels, enabling drivers to recharge their vehicles quickly and conveniently.
