Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it’s Alto has completed the 45 lakh sales milestone since its debut in 2000.
The first 20 lakh sales for the hatchback were attained in 12 years of its introduction and the next 10 lakh by 2016.
Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, said the brand has established a strong emotional connect with customers. Given the young demographic of India, rising income levels, etc. there would be immense potential for cars such as Alto, he added.
