Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up, Altigreen is entering the Chennai market by launching MoEVing, the company’s solution for the last-mile cargo delivery. With this entry, Altigreen has now expanded its network across major markets, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad, the company said in a press release. Amitabh Saran, CEO, Altigreen Propulsion Labs, said, “Our road-ready vehicles have been exclusively conceptualised for the needs of Indian roads as also a solution to rising environmental concerns. The demand for sustainable, clean and affordable vehicles for last-mile delivery is at an all-time high.”  Altigreen has already opened multiple service centres in Chennai, and it will roll out its EV solutions for grocery and doorstep goods delivery. It will work together with MoEVing to augment the adoption of EVs in last-mile delivery over traditional ICE vehicles to help improve the city’s air quality. Further, it is developing a network in other areas like Coimbatore to support its customers. The EVs are better in all aspects than diesel options and include elaborate IoT / telematics for greater control of vehicle performance. Altigreen currently has 26 service centres, and the company plans to expand to 50 by the end of this quarter.
