Allcargo Gati Limited has announced the introduction of over 1,700 rebranded vehicles powered by alternate fuel solutions. The vehicles will be used for first and last-mile deliveries across India. This initiative is part of Allcargo Group’s broader rebranding and sustainability efforts, marking a shift towards greener logistics practices.
The rollout of these rebranded vehicles comes in the context of government policy initiatives such as PM Gati Shakti, the National Logistics Policy, and Bharatmala. These policies aim to enhance the country's logistics infrastructure. Allcargo Gati plans to expand its service network, particularly in Tier 2 and 3 cities, where the demand for efficient and eco-friendly delivery solutions is growing. The rebranded fleet is expected to help meet these demands by improving the efficiency and sustainability of logistics operations in these regions.
Uday Sharma, Chief Commercial Officer of Allcargo Gati Limited, stated that the introduction of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint while also providing cost-effective solutions for customers. The integration of advanced technology into these vehicles is intended to make them more efficient, further enhancing Allcargo Gati’s service capabilities.
Allcargo Gati currently serves over 5,400 pin codes directly and has access to 19,800 pin codes across India. With coverage extending to 735 out of 739 districts in the country, the rollout is expected to significantly enhance the company’s delivery network.
