Air India Flies In Campbell Wilson As Its New CEO & MD

Campbell Wilson has been appointed as the new CEO & MD of Air India by Tata Sons. Wilson was the founding CEO of Scoot, the wholly owned low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.

Campbell Wilson (50), a 26-year-old veteran of the aviation industry, with expertise across both full service and low-cost airlines has been roped in as the new CEO & MD of Air India. Wilson was the founding CEO of Scoot from 2011 to 2016 and again from 2020.

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Air India said he is delighted to welcome Campbell to Air India. “He is an industry veteran having worked in key global markets cutting across multiple functions. Further, Air India would benefit from his added experience of having built an airline brand in Asia. I look forward to working with him in building a world-class airline,” he said.

Speaking on his appointment, Wilson said that Air India was at the cusp of an exciting journey to become one of the best airlines in the world, offering world-class products and services with a distinct customer experience that reflects Indian warmth and hospitality.
