The Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) has inaugurated the first-ever Automotive Aftermarket Expo, hosted under the aegis of the ACMA Mobility Foundation (AMF). The two-day event is being held at the Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre in Patna, starting today.

A Platform For Industry Advancement

The Automotive Aftermarket Expo is positioned as an exclusive platform for professionals in the aftermarket ecosystem, including mechanics, dealers, retailers, and wholesalers. It aims to drive awareness about genuine spare parts, reinforce vehicular safety, and facilitate strategic networking and knowledge exchange among participants.

Vinnie Mehta, Director & Secretary of the ACMA Mobility Foundation, expressed enthusiasm for the event’s debut in Patna. “This event reflects the industry’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in aftermarket products and services. With over 30 exhibitors showcasing more than 1,000 products, including several new launches, the expo is set to become a landmark event for Eastern India.”

Ramashankar Pandey, Chairman of the Aftermarket Sub-Pillar at ACMA Mobility Foundation, highlighted the expo’s potential for driving growth in the region. “This event showcases the latest technologies and products while promoting employment, entrepreneurial opportunities, and business prospects in Patna and beyond. It underscores ACMA’s mission of advocating for genuine spare parts and advancing the holistic progress of the industry.”

Leading companies such as Brakes India, Gabriel India, Minda Corporation, Tata AutoComp GY Batteries, UNO Minda, and ZF Wabco Aftermarket are among the participants. The expo will attract over 5,000 business visitors and numerous B2B meetings to foster partnerships.

The automotive component industry in India saw a turnover of INR 6.14 lakh crore ($74.1 billion) in FY24, with the aftermarket segment contributing INR 93,886 crore ($11.3 billion). Increased vehicle movement, demand for used vehicles, and the rise of e-commerce are driving growth in the sector, particularly in semi-urban and rural areas.

Focus On Bihar, Jharkhand

The auto components aftermarket in Bihar and Jharkhand accounts for about 5% of the national market. The region hosts a robust ecosystem of 155 automobile dealers, 1,000 auto component retailers, and numerous repair workshops. Urban hubs like Patna, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur, as well as highway workshops, play a significant role in catering to both rural and suburban markets.

With the Automotive Aftermarket Expo, ACMA aims to strengthen this ecosystem, driving growth and innovation in the aftermarket industry while advancing its mission to ensure safer, more efficient mobility solutions.
