
The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) successfully hosted its 59th Excellence Awards & 10th AMF Technology Summit 2025 in New Delhi, celebrating the achievements of India’s leading auto component manufacturers.
Themed “Viksit Bharat: Innovating for an Inclusive, Sustainable & Resilient Manufacturing Future”, the event honoured 60 distinguished companies, collectively securing 109 awards across 10 categories, recognizing excellence in manufacturing, sustainability, digitization, localization, and exports.
The summit brought together prominent industry leaders and policymakers, including chief guest HD Kumaraswamy, Minister of Heavy Industries & Steel, Govt of India, along with MShradha Suri Marwah, President, ACMA & CMD, Subros; Shailesh Chandra, President, SIAM and MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. & Tata Passenger Electric Mobility; Vikrampati Singhania, Vice President, ACMA and Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA.
Speaking at the summit, Marwah expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Heavy Industries for its transformative policies, including the PLI scheme and PM e-drive, which have propelled industry growth. She highlighted that in FY2024, the auto component sector recorded a $ 74.1 billion turnover with $ 21.2 billion in exports, reaffirming ACMA’s commitment to innovation and collaboration to sustain this momentum in FY2025. She also noted that waiving award application fees for small enterprises, companies with over 15% women employees, and those employing at least 5% differently abled individuals has resulted in a record number of applications this year.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the report “Revving Up Exports: The Next Phase of Export Growth for the Auto Component Industry”, developed in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The report provides a comprehensive strategy to help achieve the $100 billion export target set by the Ministry of Commerce.
Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA, emphasized the industry’s collective commitment to setting new benchmarks, stating, “The ACMA Excellence Awards & AMF Technology Summit celebrate the accomplishments of the auto component sector and inspire us to push the industry forward. Through collaboration and sustainable growth, we continue to elevate India’s position in the global automotive supply chain.”
The summit reinforced India’s growing leadership in the global auto component sector, showcasing its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and technological advancement. With a $ 300 million trade surplus, the industry is well-positioned for inclusive and globally competitive growth, shaping a future driven by innovation and resilience.
