Expected to arrive in India in 2025

BMW has pulled the covers off the 2025 3 Series, which gets a slew of updates inside out, and then some more under the skin. The model is expected to arrive in 2025, while BMW’s focus for this year will be the new 5 Series.

The major highlight in terms of updates to the India-spec 2025 BMW 3 Series will be the mild-hybrid system paired with petrol engines. The PHEV versions now get a larger 19.5kWh battery pack, thus resulting in an electric-only range of 101km, up from the previous 66km via the 12kWh unit. Called the 330e trim, it is paired with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine belting out 300bhp and 420Nm.

On the cosmetic front, the new 3 Series features a revised front bumper, tweaked side sills, and a set of new 19-inch alloy wheels. The entire range now gets a 17-inch unit setup as standard. Notably, BMW is now offering a wider range of paint schemes.

Moving on to the interior, the 2024 BMW 3 Series has ditched a slew of physical buttons, functions that have now been integrated into the 14.9-inch touchscreen unit. The latter also runs BMW’s iDrive 8.5 OS. The 3 Series range now gets what BMW calls ‘M Performtex’ seat upholstery as an option on lower trims, but as standard on the M340i. Further, select elements such as the gear selector, iDrive controller, and the ignition button can now be had with a glass finish.
