The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160 4V has been teased on social media platforms, indicating its imminent launch. The motorcycle will get a new bronze and black, dual-tone colour as well as refreshed graphics. Hero has also changed the seat of the bike and it now gets a single-piece seat instead of a split seat. This is done in the interest of enhancing pillion comfort.

The company will also introduce dual-channel ABS with this update to improve the safety aspect as the current model comes with single-channel ABS only. The bike also gets a panic brake alert system that warns other road users of your intent of slowing down rapidly. This should prevent someone from rear ending the bike.

Other features include a drag race timer that will record your 0-60kmph time or zero to 402-meter sprints. Hero claims that the Xtreme 160 4V is one of the fastest bikes in the segment and now there’s a way to show how it fares against the clock.

Mechanically, we expect to see no changes. The bike is powered by a 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 16.6bhp and 14.6Nm of peak torque while being mated to a five-speed gearbox.

Expect the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160 4V to cost a little more than the current bike’s price which starts at Rs 1.27 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.36 lakh, ex-showroom.
