Ducati India has launched the updated Streetfighter V4 in India at a starting price of Rs 24.62 lakh. There’s a higher spec Streetfighter V4 S as well and it features electronically adjustable suspension among other additional features, and it will set you back by Rs 28 lakh, ex-showroom,
The Streetfighter V4 is Ducati’s flagship, high performance street bike that is based on its Panigale V4 superbike. The updates are cosmetic, mechanical and electronic.
Beginning with the design, it has a sharp-looking headlight, reprofiled tank extensions and a new, 16.5-litre fuel tank that’s been shaped to offer more support to the rider while cornering and braking. Another update on the visual front is the introduction of the new, Grey Nero colour.
Ducati has also tweaked the Streetfighter V4’s comprehensive electronics package. Out of the five ride modes that temper the engine’s power delivery and amount of horsepower being produced, the Full and Low modes have been recalibrated. The Low mode limits power to 157bhp and offers a gentler throttle response. A new Wet mode has been introduced with this update for an even more gentler power delivery to help keep the bike in control on tricky, wet surfaces. In the V4S model, which features electronic suspension, Wet mode sets the suspension to a softer setting for better grip.
The company has also raised the swingarm pivot point by 4mm for better stability under hard acceleration and more weight on the front end for better feedback.
These updates are sure to make this street bike even more fun to ride on the road as well as the racetrack than its predecessor. The combination of a 1,130cc, 205bhp, 123Nm, V4 engine with an agile chassis and top drawer electronics is what makes the Streetfighter V4 an incredible bike.
In terms of competition, the Streetfighter V4 goes up against the Kawasaki ZH2 and the BMW S 1000 R Pro M Sport
