Bajaj Auto has launched the 2024 Pulsar N250 in India at Rs 1.51 lakh, ex-showroom. The bike has received cosmetic updates, new cycle parts and new features to bring it up-to-date with competition.

Visually, the Pulsar N250 gets a set of new colours- Red, White and Black. They’ve got contrasting graphics across the bodywork to make for a Pulsar 250 that looks quite striking. The lackluster appearance of the old Pulsar N250 was one of the biggest complaints that people had. Bajaj seems to have worked on this while coming up with the new bike.

Helping the Pulsar gain some visual mass is the new 37mm USD fork and the fatter, 140-section rear tyre. The stance of the bike has definitely improved with these additions and Pulsar fans should like the looks of the 2024 N250.

Bajaj has also introduced new features such as a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. Using a dedicated app, users can pair their smartphones to the cluster and receive incoming calls and message notifications as well as turn-by-turn navigation information.

In terms of safety, the Pulsar N250 gets a traction control system that prevents excessive wheelspin on slippery road surfaces, helping the rider stay in control. It also gets three ABS modes- Rain, Road and Off-road. These modes alter the amount of ABS intervention, so, say while riding on wet roads the system will be the most alert and will intervene sooner if it detects a wheel is about to lock while braking.

The rest of the bike, be it the frame, engine, LED lights are the same. Powering the bike is a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that makes 24.1bhp and 21.5Nm of peak torque. The motor continues to be paired with a five-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

In terms of competition, the Pulsar N250 will rival the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
