Piyush Goyal Commends The New Era Of Innovation & Collaboration mobility outlook

In a landmark event that could very well redefine the contours of India's industrial and technological landscape, Bharat Mobility Global Export 2024 emerged not just as an exhibition but as a testament to the country's burgeoning capabilities in the mobility sector. Orchestrated under the aegis of Piyush Goyal, India's Minister of Commerce and Industry, among other portfolios, this three-day extravaganza brought to the fore the entirety of India's mobility ecosystem, presenting a unified vision that spans various segments of the industry.

The exposition drew in a sizeable number of participants and visitors, signalling a nationwide mobilisation behind the vision of a new, boundary-transcending India. With over 1,000 exhibitors and 128,000 registered visitors—excluding an estimated 25% who attended without registration—the event underscored the vast interest and potential within India's automotive and mobility sectors. There are a lot of loopholes in security and facilities at the newly improved Pragati Maidan, and these need to be worked upon soon by the government.

Central to the event's success was its holistic approach, integrating the efforts of various Governmental ministries and industry associations. This collaborative effort was instrumental in showcasing the multifaceted capabilities of the Indian mobility sector, from traditional automotive manufacturing to cutting-edge technological innovations. The involvement of industry giants, startups, and international delegates further enriched the event, fostering dialogues and partnerships that promise to propel India's mobility sector into the global arena.

The exhibition also highlighted the Government's role in catalysing change and innovation within the industry. The presence of PM Narendra Modi was a crucial element for the event, where he touched upon the potential of solar power, electric vehicles, and green fuels like hydrogen and ethanol for an environmentally sustainable and technologically advanced mobility landscape.

The involvement of NASSCOM and over 100 startups showcased the increasing intersection of technology and mobility, underlining the sector's evolution beyond traditional manufacturing to encompass software and service-oriented solutions. This marks a significant milestone, setting the stage for annual gatherings that aim to continuously showcase India's advancements and innovations to a global audience. Feeling left out, telecom giants will join in from next year, considering they, too, have a significant role in the mobility industry.

Bharat Mobility Global Export 2024 not only celebrated India's current achievements in the mobility sector but also paved the way for future successes. It highlighted the synergistic potential of government support, industry innovation, and international collaboration in driving the nation's mobility agenda forward. This event has undoubtedly set a new benchmark for what India can achieve on the world stage, propelling the country towards a future where it leads to creating sustainable, innovative mobility solutions for the world.
