Mitra will succeed Paul Zacharia, the current President of 3-Wheeler, upon his retirement in June 2024, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of leadership within the organisation.

Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Limited, a prominent manufacturer of electric two and three-wheelers in India, has appointed Debashis Mitra as the President of the 3-wheeler Business.

In his new role, Mitra will lead Kinetic Green's 3-wheeler business, focusing on strengthening the company's network and expanding its market share in the burgeoning E3W market. He will oversee the entire Profit and Loss responsibilities of the 3-wheeler Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and collaborate closely with R&D and operations/sourcing leadership to drive efficiency and product innovation.

Mitra brings over three decades of extensive experience in the Indian automotive sector to his new role. His tenure includes notable positions at renowned companies such as AltiGreen, Greaves Cotton, Mercedes Benz, Toyota Kirloskar, Hindustan Motors, and Atlas Copco. His track record of achievements and transformative initiatives underscores his leadership prowess and strategic acumen.

Kinetic Green has outlined an ambitious expansion plan for the fiscal year 2024-25. With a current network of 160 dealerships, the company aims to double its reach by expanding to over 350 dealerships, adding 200 new dealers across the country. Moreover, the company has set a sales target of 20,000 E2Ws for the year 2024-25, indicating its commitment to growth and market leadership.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, welcomed Mitra, highlighting the strategic significance of the E3W segment for the company. She expressed confidence in his ability to steer Kinetic Green's 3W journey, leveraging his expertise and strategic vision to drive growth and innovation.
